In June 2019, Hong Kong saw massive demonstrations against the Anti-Extradition Law Amendment that opened the door for Hong Kong citizens to be extradited to China. Several high-profile exiled Hong Kong activists will convene in Japan this month on the protests' fifth anniversary, the first time they have got together in Asia since the demonstrations.
They will come to the Club to raise awareness about the Hong Kong issue and update the media on the situation in the former British colony.
