Dear FCCJ Members,
The Club is now accepting applications for the 2026 Swadesh DeRoy Memorial Scholarship for students interested in pursuing a career in journalism.
Every year, the FCCJ awards scholarship to up to three students, from high school to graduate school level, to help them pay for costs related to their education. Applicants must submit an example of their work, which a committee of professional journalists and educators uses to select the winners. Each winner receives a prize of 300,000 yen, announced at an annual awards dinner held at the Club.
The deadline to apply is Sept. 30, 2026. For more details on the scholarship and how to apply, please refer to the attached files.
