Kumamoto Earthquake Relief Support

Dear Members,
The recent magnitude 7.1 earthquake in Kumamoto has left at least 34 people dead. It is a tragic reminder of Japan's vulnerability to natural disasters. Although the 72-hour rescue benchmark has passed, recovery and rebuilding efforts in Kumamoto and the surrounding area are only just beginning.
The Club has enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with Kumamoto Prefecture. We extend our deepest condolences to all those affected by this disaster, and we would like to provide a means for members who wish to make donations to a relief fund to do so. Details are provided below. We will transfer the funds as quickly as possible and keep members informed about the Club's efforts.
As of Thursday, water and electricity supplies in Kumamoto remain limited, and residents continue to cope with the disaster amid severe summer heat and restrictions on movement. Our thoughts are with those facing dangerous conditions, and we hope to create a path for support that will help recovery efforts. We encourage members to consider joining this initiative.
How to Donate: Members may donate in cash at Reception or sign a chit to have the amount charged to their Club account. For bank transfers, credit card payments, or Club account payments, please contact the Accounting Office at accounts@fccj.or.jp.

熊本支援のお願い

会員の皆様へ
熊本で発生したマグニチュード7.1の地震により、少なくとも34名の方が亡くなりました。日本が自然災害に対して、いかに脆弱であるかを思い起こさせる悲劇を伴った出来事であります。
生存率の大きな目安とされる「発生から72時間」はすでに経過しましたが、熊本および周辺地域の復旧・復興に向けた取り組みは、まだ始まったばかりです。
当クラブは、熊本県と長年にわたり実りある関係を築いてまいりました。
今回の災害で被災された皆様に心より哀悼の意を表するとともに、義援金への御寄付を希望される会員の皆様のために、支援窓口を設けることといたしました（詳細は下記をご参照ください）。
お預かりした義援金は、できる限り速やかに送金し、当クラブの取り組みについては、会員の皆様に随時御報告いたします。
木曜日現在、熊本では水道および電力の供給がなお限定的であり、住民の皆様は厳しい夏の暑さと移動制限の中で、災害への対応を続けています。
危険な状況に置かれている方々に心よりお見舞い申し上げるとともに、復旧を後押しするための支援の道筋をつくりたいと考えております。
皆様にもこの取り組みにご賛同いただき、ご参加を御検討いただければ幸いです。
