FCCJ EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING
6:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2026
Dear FCCJ Members:
Filling our open Regular Director position and a necessary dues increase will be addressed at the General Meeting of Regular Members on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in accordance with Article 16 of the Articles of Association. A complimentary dinner will be served from 6:30 pm (reservation required at Reception by January 24), and the meeting will begin at 7:00 pm as well as be available on Zoom. Your participation and voting are essential, and the Board of Directors greatly looks forward to seeing you then.
The agenda for the meeting will be:
RESOLUTION ONE: Elect Khaldon Azhari to complete the remainder of the vacated Regular member 2025-2026 Director term.
RESOLUTION TWO: Approve a dues increase, which will incorporate the current levy of 1,500 yen, with effect from April 1, 2026 in accordance with the table below. The actual amount that members will pay will in no case exceed 1,000 yen by comparison with the current dues and levy total. The increase is to avoid a serious cash shortfall arising from scheduled capital expenditures and mandatory retirement payments.
The candidate for Regular Director, Khaldon Azhari, is to complete the remainder of the 2025-26 term of a Director who resigned. In accordance with the club's by-laws, approval of the replacement shall require a simple majority of all votes cast.
To pass the increase in dues also requires a simple majority of all votes cast. This increase is explained in detail in the information provided to voting members and will range from zero yen to 1,000 yen, depending on the class of Membership. Despite strides towards increasing membership, the Club remains in challenging financial straits, and this proposed increase, although minimal, will help the FCCJ navigate these conditions and improve its services for Membership.
