Rediscovering Hokuriku Following The Shinkansen Extension

FCCJ Hokuriku Night welcomes tourism representatives from each of the Hokuriku prefectures of Toyama, Ishikawa and Fukui to talk about the character and attractions of the region, trending topics, and the impact of the March 2024 shinkansen extension which established a direct rail link between Tokyo and the prefectures.
The Hokuriku region of Japan also has much to offer in the way of produce and traditional crafts. Members will be able to sample firsthand from a buffet featuring dishes with ingredients from the three prefectures and a selection of local sake, and view live demonstrations by local artisans and a display of their traditional crafts. Examples of produce to be served includes Toyama Prefecture’s Himi kanburi (yellowtail), Ishikawa Prefecture’s Noto pork, and Fukui Prefecture’s Echizen crab.
Information about English-language support for media who wish to cover the region in relation to the extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line will also be available.
This event is free, but is limited to Regular Members. The program, subject to change, is as follows:

- 北陸新幹線延伸で注目が高まるエリアの魅力を再発見 -

2024年3月に北陸新幹線が延伸され、富山県、石川県、福井県の北陸三県への注目が高まっています。
FCCJ 北陸ナイトは各県の観光誘客の担当者を招いて北陸三県の魅力や、旬のトピック、新幹線延伸の影響を語っていただきます。
当日は、三県の食材を使ったビュッフェ料理や地酒などの提供と、各県の伝統工芸品などの展示・職人による実演等も行います。
また、北陸新幹線延伸に関連して現地を取材したいメディア関係者の方向けに、英語での取材サポート窓口の御案内も行う予定です。
