Mexican Independence Day!
18:30 - 21:00, September 20, 2025
Commemorating independence from Spanish rule, September 16 is marked in Mexico by lively festivities, parades and ceremonies. Trilingual Mexican singer, model and actress Natalia D will debut at SNL to perform mariachi, pop, ballads and cumba for you to enjoy while sampling some Mexican delicacies and drinks.
The Embassy of Mexico in Japan’s official singer told FCCJ: “My musical journey began age six when I was captivated by anime theme songs, J-pop and Japanese culture.”
Alongside American pop and Latin music, she nurtured a cross-genre style that reflects her diverse musical roots. In Mexico, Natalia performed at events hosted by the Japanese Embassy while balancing a full-time corporate career, never letting go of her dream to one day sing in Japan. In 2021, she made that dream a reality by moving to Japan. She has since been active in numerous cultural exchange events, using music to bridge the gap between Japan and Mexico.
In 2023, she was appointed Tourism Ambassador for Saitama City and she continues to explore new bilateral musical fusions to bring smiles and inspiration in both nations. See Natalia D’s website here: https://lit.link/en/nataliad
And remember SNL is free for FCCJ members! For guests & non-members, there is a 1,000 yen music charge, an incredible bargain for Tokyo entertainment. Please note the charge will apply to all guests and non members who are in the SNL venue at any time after the commencement of the first set.
