Aya Takazawa’s Ringo-ri-Rappa Trio

Aya Takazawa started playing trumpet at the tender age of 10 and later graduated from the prestigious Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo. She has performed at a number of high-profile global events including the commemoration ceremony of the United Nations Population Fund in New York, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and the Monterey Jazz Festival, which is the longest continually running such event in the world.
Aya recorded for her major debut album with the family of legendary trumpeter and composer Wynton Marsalis, currently the artistic director of jazz at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, in New York.
The Ringo-ri-Rappa Trio consists of:
- Aya Takazawa (trumpet)
- Hirokazu Yamaguchi (guitar)
- Fumie Chiba (piano)
