The Mary Quartet

Please enjoy this special mother and daughter musical collaboration! Mary Tamura will present solo piano works by Chopin, followed by a jazz standards piano trio performance featuring special guest vocalist Tampopo whose warm and heartfelt voice has delighted audiences for many years.
Fumitaka Kusakabe (bass) and Mao Suzuki (drums) complete this gifted quartet who are making their FCCJ debut.
Mary is a graduate of the Faculty of Music at Kobe College and has performed professionally in Japan, Las Vegas, Kansas, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. She is especially known for her expressive performances of Chopin and a diverse repertoire ranging from jazz and film music to crossover works at charity gigs for disaster-affected communities and children living in residential care, believing in the power of music to bring comfort and connect people.
