International Men’s Day with The Peter Montgomery Quartet

Tokyo-based New Yorker Peter Montgomery (guitar, vocals) has jammed and performed with some of the biggest names in jazz, R&B and hip-hop: Bobby Brown, Rick James, Keith Sweat, Angie Jones, Stanley Brown, Sam & Dave, Javon Jackson and Kenny Garrett to name a few. Kenny Garrett described Peter as a "world-class guitarist." Peter creates and performs his own music and puts his own unique spin on jazz classics.
Tatsuya Kazahaya (bass) is an experienced jazz bassist known for his deep, seasoned playing style. He primarily performs on the contrabass (upright bass) and is based in Setagaya, Tokyo. After studying the foundations of double bass under an orchestra alumnus, he performed at well-known Tokyo jazz venues like Shinjuku Taro and Kichijoji Sometime, collaborating with various international and Japanese musicians.
Naoya Miyara (drums) is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Boston MA, and has played professionally for more than 30 years in the US and Japan.
Yuichi Inoue (piano) performs jazz in regular live shows with several bands around Tokyo.
