Irene Herrera is an award-winning documentarian whose work has appeared in film festivals around the world and also leading social media news sites including AJ+, CNN En Espanol, Discovery Digital and others; her stories have received tens of millions of views.
Herrera will come to the club to offer advice on how to produce hard-hitting journalism tailored to an ever-expanding digital audience. She'll give a broad historical overview of the move toward "mobile newsrooms"; offer hands-on advice about how to create content for social media sites, using smartphones and other tools; and explain her own workflow as well as best practices for multi-platform journalists.
This seminar is perfect for digital journalists, and also correspondents and students looking to expand their reporting repertoire.
