PRESS CONFERENCE

"Cancel to the Olympics"
Naoto Ueyama, Chairman, Japan Doctors Union

13:00-14:00 Thursday, May 27, 2021
Language: The speech and Q & A will be in Japanese with English interpretation.

With the start of the Tokyo Olympics just two months away, the capital city and much of Japan remain under a state of emergency to rein in a fourth wave of COVID-19. Amid a low vaccination rate and the risk of mutant strains of the virus, it is "irresponsible" for Japan to host the Games, says our speaker Naoto Ueyama. He Represents the Japan Doctors Union, which has joined a host of medical organizations to demand that the event be cancelled.
