*His Holiness is joining this event online.

The FCCJ is honored to welcome back His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Since his last appearance at the club in 2009, much has changed. Now aged 86, the Nobel Peace Prize-winner has since retired from all "political" positions and is concentrating on giving regular speeches and webcasts on ostensibly spiritual issues from his headquarters in Dharamsala, India.

As he pointed out in his recent message to the Cop-26 climate conference in Glasgow, most of the problems and sufferings around us are man-made, and must be addressed by each and every individual responsibility and commitment. A good and compassionate heart is thus key to tackling the many issues and challenges we face. The Dalai Lama's message will be that cultivating a compassionate heart is important for our own existence and the whole planet.
