The FCCJ is proud to host a press conference by the Japanese boys group JO1, which is setting its sights on North America after record-breaking sales in Japan and surging popularity in Asia.

Since their debut six years ago, JO1 has dominated Japanese music charts with all 10 of their singles to date reaching No. 1. The nine-member group was also named Favorite Asian Artist last year at South Korea's prestigious MAMA Awards.

JO1 has already begun making waves in the United States. On the Mediabase Top 40 radio chart, the group scored the highest position for a Japanese artist with their track "BE CLASSIC," which reached 34th. They were also the first Japanese act to perform on the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour in 2025, and they were nominated for World Artist of the Year at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Next month, JO1 will release their debut American EP, "ANIMAL." Produced by Grammy winner Dem Jointz, who has worked with Rihanna and Eminem, the release coincides with the launch of JO1's first five-city North American tour. That will be followed by the release of a CD featuring "Ignite," the opening theme for the fourth season of the hit anime series Tokyo Revengers.

All nine JO1 members will appear at the FCCJ to discuss their career milestones to date and their ambitions going forward. Please come to learn about one of Japan's hottest new music acts.
