PRESS CONFERENCE

My Fight against False Doping Allegations
Kazuto Ioka, Professional Boxer and WBO Super Flyweight Champion

Language: The speech and Q & A will be in Japanese with English interpretation.

On New Year's Eve, WBO Super Flyweight Champion Kazuto Ioka knocked out top-ranked contender Kosei Tanaka in a high-profile match, but the joy of victory quickly turned into a nightmare.  Due to negligence by Japanese boxing authorities, he was reported to have failed a pre-fight drug test. Suddenly, his reputation was in tatters. Then, significant irregularities in how the urine samples were handled came to light. In May, the Japan Boxing Commission admitted that they had been sloppy, and cleared Ioka of wrongdoing, but he continues to fight to restore his reputation. Join us as Ioka explains what he went through and how he is attempting to fight back.
