In Japan’s October 2024 Lower House election, the Democratic Party for the People surprised the political world by quadrupling its seats to become a major opposition force. The DPP’s economic policies and online campaign savvy proved particularly popular with Japan’s Gen Z and Millennials.
Can lightning strike twice? DPP leader Yuichiro Tamaki will come to the FCCJ to outline the DPP’s strategy for the upcoming Upper House election and beyond.

FCCJ will limit live-streaming of FCCJ-hosted press conferences to Club members only. Non-members will no longer be permitted to live-stream these events. However, non-members may still film for reporting purposes and use footage after the press conference.
