REMEMBERING JACK SPILLUM – 1935-2018

We are sad to announce the passing of long time club member Jack Spillum on Friday November 23rd. He was 83.

John David 'Jack' Spillum was born October 29, 1935 and raised in Grand Forks North Dakota, attended University of North Dakota for 2 years.

He originally arrived in Asia as a radio announcer with U.S. Armed Services Network in South Korea just after the Korean conflict.

Jack came to Tokyo in 1957 and remained here until his passing. Jack was a colorful and popular personality probably best known for calling the bingo numbers at FCCJ for many years.

In his later years, he suffered from Parkinson's disease and all of its associate illnesses.

Please join us to celebrate his life on Friday, November 30th from 1800 at the club to share in our memories of him and to hoist a glass of wine to his memory.

A light buffet will be served, courtesy of the Club. Members can sign for drinks as usual.

Please advise the Front Desk (03-3211-3161) if you wish to attend so that adequate catering measures can be taken.

Peter Langan,
FCCJ President
