Mark Tourian has been working as a professional musician since the age of twelve. While still a student he began travelling with bands across America and overseas. After living in New York for four years, in 1997 he decided to call Japan his home. Mark brings several Tokyo-based players who are will recognized on the contemporary jazz scene to perform his compositions and arrangements. With a repertoire consisting of new interpretations of the jazz standard repertoire as well as original compositions, the band’s sound is fresh and innovative, but well-grounded in the traditions of jazz.
