The FCCJ's popular series of dinner-concerts with Robert Rÿker and the Tokyo Sinfonia continue to fill every available seat at the dinner tables. Coming up next in the adventurous programming will be their return to the Pen & Quill dining room Friday evening August 5 to features a Czech menu and the music of composers of the Czech nation.
The Czech Serenade spices the evening with characteristic works of three of the nation's romantic composers, the Noon Witch (Antonin Dvorak), Concerto for Viola & Strings (Karl Stamitz), and Three Dances from The Bartered Bride (Bedrich Smetana), performed live and in person by Robert Rÿker and the strings of the Tokyo Sinfonia.
Interspersed between mouth-watering courses of traditional Czech cuisine from the FCCJ kitchen are Prague Potato Soup, Czech Pork Cutlet and Bohemian Apple Strudle.
Combining aspects of both a delightful dinner and a captivating concert, the hugely enjoyable series of entertaining evenings has won praise for its imaginative programming, inviting presentation, and friendly rapport with the audience. The dress code ranges from graciously casual to charmingly formal.

8月5日(金)は、FCCJの人気企画のロバート・ライカーと東京シンフォニアのディナーコンサートが決定し今回は、チェコ料理とチェコの作曲家たちの音楽をお届けいたします。
チェコが生んだ3人のロマン派作曲家、「午後の魔女」(アントニン・ドボルザーク)、「ヴィオラと弦楽のための協奏曲」(カール・スタミッツ)、「物ごいから三つのダンス」(ベドリヒ・スメタナ)をロベルト・ライカーと東京シンフォニア弦楽アンサンブルが直接演奏し、特徴ある作品をお届けするチェコの夕べを彩りました。
ディナーはプラハ風ポテトスープ、チェコ風ポークカツレツ、ボヘミアンアップルストラドルといった伝統的なチェコ料理をご用意いたします。
