Tokyo Sinfonia Stimulating Italian Spring Serenade with Fine Dining

On Friday evening, May 19, the FCCJ Food & Beverage Committee will proudly present another chapter in the perennially popular series of FCCJ dinner-concerts in the Pen & Quill dining room.
The 69th dinner-concert programme features a menu of traditional Italian dishes and music of Verdi, one of the country's most famous composers.
Interspersed between mouth-watering courses of seasonal cuisine from the FCCJ kitchen - Roasted Sangen Pork Loin finished with Italian Salsa Tonnato, Roman Sea Bass and Shellfish Acqua Pazza, and Sicilian Lemon Tart with Blood Orange Juice - our Italian Spring Serenade spices the evening with characteristic works of Verdi, including Nabucco: Prelude, Sicilian Vespers: Sinfonia, and La Traviata: Prelude & Introduction - performed live by Robert Ryker and the strings of the Tokyo Sinfonia.
The dress code ranges from graciously smart casual to charmingly formal. Combining aspects of both a delightful dinner and a captivating concert, the hugely enjoyable series of entertaining evenings has won praise for its imaginative programming, inviting presentation, and friendly rapport with the audience.

第69回のメニューは、新緑の鮮やかな5月に、緑にちなんでヴェルディの音楽とイタリアンディナーで、お客様をイタリアの春へと誘います。
ディナーと演奏を交互にご提供するユニークなスタイル。ロバート・ライカー指揮、東京シンフォニアによる演奏です。
サルサトンナートで仕上げた三元豚のロースのロースト、『ナブッコ：前奏曲』、
スズキと魚貝のアクアパッツァ,『シチリアの晩鐘：シンフォニア』、
シチリアレモンタルト ブラッドオレンジジュース、『椿姫：前奏曲と序奏』、コーヒー・紅茶。
