Animal Fantasia Art Exhibition by Shinnosuke Akimoto (Art Brut Style)

The December Exhibition will feature a collection of vibrant, colorful artwork by Shin (Shinnosuke Akimoto), a young Art Brut artist whose animal-themed works have garnered attention both domestically and internationally. Co-hosted with the Wonderheart General Incorporated Association, Art Brut (art created outside of the cultural mainstream, often by self-taught individuals including children) is art that transcends traditional boundaries. In Japan, it often refers to the creative work of people with disabilities. Shin, who is autistic and loves animals, depicts a world filled with the energy and compassion. His colorful works, rendered with crayons and 12 colors of paint, evoke a sense of vitality and kindness that warms the soul.

On December 9th, we will be hosting a reception featuring special guest Toshiaki Matsumoto, well-known pianist and composer of numerous hits including MISIA's "Everything" and "Tomorrow" and JUJU's "Stop This Night." Shin's art and Matsumoto's piano will resonate together on Dec 9.

Born in 2001, Shin was diagnosed with autism at age two and began creating art under the guidance of Sakae Ito at age seven. "Painting is a way of expressing myself," he says. Filled with vibrant colors, his art depicts his favorite animals as they’d appear in the wild. In recent years, he has deepened his exploration of color, eliminating preliminary sketches and instead skillfully blending crayons and 12 watercolor colors to create an infinite number of colors. He creates gentle yet powerful works with animal and nature motifs. He currently works at Atelier Baku (managed by Wonder Heart General Incorporated Association) under the guidance of Makoto Kasugai. He has received the Encouragement Award at the Kasugai Citizens Art Exhibition and the Excellence Award at the Aichi Art Brut Exhibition. He is active mainly in Aichi Prefecture.

動物絵画展: アール・ブリュット作家 Shin (秋本 慎ノ介)

12月の展示会では、動物をテーマに国内外で注目を集める、若手アール・ブリュット作家、Shin（秋本慎ノ介）の力強く色彩豊かな作品を集めた絵画展を開催します。（一般社団法人ワンダーハートと共催）
アール・ブリュット（生のアート）は、伝統の枠にとらわれない芸術。日本ではしばしば障害を持つ人の創作活動を指します。
動物が大好きなShin の作品は、生命のエネルギーとやさしさに満ちた世界を描き出します。
クレパスと12 色の絵の具で描かれる色彩豊かな作品。そこに宿る「生命力」 「優しさ」が見る人の心に温かな光をともします。

絵画展会期中の12月9日（火） 、MISIA「Everything」「明日へ」、JUJU「この夜を止めてよ」など、数々の名曲を生み出した作曲家・ピアニスト 松本俊明氏をスペシャルゲストに迎え、Shin のアートと松本氏のピアノが響き合うスペシャル・レセプションを開催する運びとなりました。

2001年生まれのShinは、2歳で自閉症の診断を受け、7歳より伊藤栄氏の指導のもと制作を開始。
「絵を描くことは"自分を表すこと"そのもの。」 大好きな動物たちを描き、鮮やかな色彩があふれるています。
近年は特に色彩への探求を深め、下書きをせず、クレパスと12色の水彩絵の具から巧みな混色で無限の色を生み出し、動物や自然をモチーフに優しく力強い作品を制作しています。
現在はアトリエ獏（一般社団法人ワンダーハート運営）にて春日井誠氏の指導のもとで制作、愛知県を中心に活動をしています。
春日井市民美術展奨励賞、あいちアール・ブリュット展優秀受賞。
