FCCJ’s 80th Anniversary Party

The Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan is proud to mark its 80th anniversary - a milestone in a legacy that began in the shadow of World War II. Since October 5, 1945, the Club has been home to journalists, thought leaders and newsmakers from around the world - a forum where ideas are challenged, history is recorded, and stories that matter are told. Join us as we celebrate this remarkable journey, honor the people who built and sustained the Club, and look ahead to the next chapter in FCCJ’s role as Japan’s window to the world.
Club member, TV talent and radio personality Harry Sugiyama will emcee, and there will be fine food and beverages and VIP guests, as well as prizes. Music will be provided by “Silk Haze,” the band merges the smooth allure of R&B, the catchy drive of Pop, and the bold, groove-heavy energy of Funk to create a fresh soundscape that resonates with music lovers.

This birthday celebration will be held at the club, doors will open at 18:00 and the party starts at 18:30. Earlybird tickets are 8,800 (tax included) for members and guests. From November 14, tickets will be 11,000 yen (tax included) and all cancellations will be charged in full.

FCCJ 創立80周年記念パーティー

終戦後の1945年10月5日に日本外国特派員協会は設立され、今年は節目となる創立80周年の記念の年となります。
設立以来、当協会は世界中のジャーナリスト、あらゆる分野をリードする個人や企業、ニュースの拠点として、新しいアイデアの発祥地、さらには歴史が記録され、重要な物語が語られる場であり続けてきました。この驚くべき歩みを共に祝い、クラブを築き支えてきた人々を称え、日本から世界へ開かれた窓口としての日本外国特派員協会の新たな章を皆様一緒にお祝いしたいと思います。
今パーティーでは、当協会の永年の会員でテレビタレントやラジオパーソナリティで活躍されているハリー杉山氏が司会を務めてくださり、他エンターテイメント、美味しい料理と飲み物、VIPゲスト、そして抽選会が予定されています。バンド「Silk Haze」は、R&Bの滑らかな魅力、ポップでキャチー、そして大胆でグルーヴ感あふれるファンキーなリズムを融合させ、音楽愛好家の心に響く新鮮なサウンドを奏でます。
