Grand Slam Japanese Culture Night

Immerse yourself in wonders of Japanese culture from the secret rituals of the Samurai era to the graceful movements and meanings of the lovely Nihon Buyo dance.
This evening of Japanese traditions opens with a Yumi no kata the steady drawing of the ancient bow and the release of the ceremonial arrow and segues into the Tate demonstration using real Samurai swords.
An historical dance performance by the famed second generation Hanayagi Group will follow then we are in for more thrills when entertained by a popular Chambara/Jidaigeki Samurai sword play group with audience participation. The evening climaxes with the exciting Awa Odori the popular O-bon summer festival dance when the audience can join in to top off the evening of fine Japanese traditions.
A great opportunity to invite your non-Japanese friends for a taste of the real Japan. Also well-behaved older children are welcome.

日本の「伝統と革新」を日本橋龍馬会、創作舞踏集団 寶船そして日本舞踊 花柳流二代目 花柳ツルら他多数による素晴らしいパフォーマンスを皆様にご紹介いたします。弓、居合の所作、殺陣、芝居、日本舞踊、阿波踊りなど息をつき暇もない程、様様な日本の伝統芸能をご堪能ください。当日は阿波踊り等、皆様もご参加いただけるイベントもご用意しております。
