The Sports Committee's first-ever outing to Japan Rugby League One takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025. We'll be attending the exciting season-opening match between Ricoh Black Rams and Suntory Sungoliath. This is a top-tier fixture between two highly ranked teams and is expected to feature star players from both Japan’s national team, the Brave Blossoms, and international teams.
The match will be held at the home of Japanese rugby, Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium. Chichibunomiya is widely regarded as the best venue in Japan for experiencing a match live. The stands are close to the pitch, allowing spectators not only great viewing but also to feel immersed in the action, and occasionally the chance to catch the ball even! The stadium is conveniently located just a short walk from Gaienmae Station.
Ticket prices are 4,000 yen per person, reserve at Reception 03-3211-3161, front@fccj.or.jp or online. The deadline to reserve is December 5, reservations cancelled from December 6 will be charged in full (this may change depending on ticket availability).
