The FCCJ Presents Tokyo Sinfonia Hungarian Serenade Dinner-Concert: the Fantasy of Old Hungary

Join us on Friday evening, May 15, at the FCCJ in Marunouchi in the very heart of Tokyo. Relax with the maestro and musicians of the Tokyo Sinfonia and enjoy a magical evening of music and fine dining, blending exquisite cuisine with the magic of music. Each part of the dinner service is interwoven with live, intimate performances up close and personal by the Tokyo Sinfonia's gifted players, bringing the music to life in an atmosphere of warmth and elegance.
Under the masterful direction of Maestro Robert Rÿker, the evening pairs a carefully curated menu by Executive Chef Otake with three unique musical interpretations of the stories of old Bohemia. This special program is a nostalgic tribute to the epoch’s timeless stories as set by three of the greatest composers of the romantic period in Hungary.
Hungarian Serenade
First Course: Smoked Mackerel and Potato Bottarga Salad
Paired with a lively festive opener, Festkläng, by Franz Liszt
Second Course: Paprikas Csirke (Chicken stewed with paprika)
Accompanied by a set of old folk melodies, Hungarian Sketches, by Béla Bartók
Third Course: Palacsinta (Hungarian Crepes)
Concluding with the warm and colourful Dances of Galanta, by Zoltán Kodály
The fare includes coffee, tea, and one complimentary drink, with bar service available to keep the evening sparkling.
