Following the U.S. missile strike on Syria last week, Warif Halabi, the Charge D'Affairs at the Syrian embassy in Tokyo, will come to the FCCJ to speak about the current situation and Syria’s position. Halabi was educated at Long Island University, New York, and at Oxford University in the U.K. She joined Syria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1991, and has a great deal of experience with international diplomacy, including a stint at the United Nations in New York.
