Dear Members,

The week of warm weather was nice, but winter is coming and it won’t be long before that viciously hot summer will be a distant memory! While the club was, as usual, very quiet during August (and into the September heat also), our membership continues to grow and banquets continues to be busy. However, we are still far behind our ideal number of members and our dining outlets are all significantly underutilized.

This is where you, our members, can really help the most, by utilizing your club for your meetings and for casual or formal dining with your family, friends and colleagues. By making the club your destination you not only improve our utilization, you also potentially increase our membership also. And don’t forget, our membership campaign rewards both current members for their introductions and new members for joining with dining vouchers as a token of our appreciation.

If you are one of the many members who have not yet used your Masukomi Sushi Bar, reservations for the remainder of this month will be rewarded with a bottle of premium sake (Tamanohikari)! Or if you have not entertained guests in the Pen & Quill dining room (reservations are required), please do, the chef’s delicious course menus are sure to please the most discerning palate. Please note that due to low utilization in Pen & Quill, from November 1 for a limited time non members with a member introduction may also utilize the Pen & Quill, an additional service charge of 15% will be incurred. And of course, as always, the Main Bar is ready to serve you with friendly service and your favorite comfort food and beverage! So please, come on down to the club for a bite to eat and a drink and support this grand institution!

Membership Information:

  • The membership campaign ends in December, introduce a new member now and your meal could be on us.
  • Give your spouse (or spouse equivalent) a membership card at no extra cost. Contact the Membership Office for information: 03-3211-3161 or membership@fccj.or.jp

Main Bar:

  • Club favorites lamb curry and French onion soup are back!
  • The hamburger has been “upgraded” for a more satisfying bite, and try the new fried fish-fillet burger.
  • New on the beverage menu is Asahi Kuro-Nama (bottles), a Munich Dunkel style black beer with a delightful aroma and full flavor, yet medium-bodied with moderate carbonation.
  • For a limited time, ANA offers its international first-class plum wine, Oikawa Nouen Umeshu.

Masukomi Sushi Bar:

  • Order your Masukomi-crafted New Year Osechi for New Year this month and receive a complimentary bottle of premium sake in person or telephone 03-3211-8184, (weekdays only).
  • New LINE app friends will receive a 20% discount on their first dining experience, Line makes it simple to make a reservation, join now!

Pen & Quill:

Reception:

  • See the range of new colors available in our club polo shirts and t-shirts at Reception.

Banquets:

  • Venues are almost full in November, however we still have some openings in December and 2025 remains readily available. Check with staff for availability and a quote: 03-3211-8171.
  • With your introduction, the club’s multipurpose venues are available for your friends and colleagues also.

Library:

  • Members can post notices (job openings/wanted, items for sale/wanted, events, etc etc) on the library general noticeboard, simply ask the staff for assistance.
  • Did you know the library has two small meeting-rooms available for limited use at no charge.

会員の皆様

暖かい日が続いた1週間でしたが、冬の足音はすぐそこまで来ているようです、あの酷暑の夏が遠い思い出となる日もそう遠くはないでしょう。8月そして9月も酷暑が続きクラブは例年通りとても静かでしたが、会員数は増え続けており、宴会の催しも多くなってきております。しかし、理想とする会員数にはまだ遠く及ばず、クラブの飲食施設はいずれも利用率が低いままです。

そこで、会員の皆様がクラブをミーティングやご家族、御友人、同僚の方々とのカジュアルなお食事やフォーマルなお食事にご利用いただくことで、クラブが以前の活気のある場所となるでしょう。クラブを目的地にすることで、利用率が向上するだけでなく、会員数も増加する可能性があります。また、当クラブの会員増強キャンペーンでは、御紹介いただいた現会員様にも、御入会いただいた新会員様にも、感謝の気持ちを込めてお食事券を進呈しております。
