President's Message

Dear members,

It was a somewhat quiet August with events to commemorate the end of War II, but there were PAC events with Rep. Taro Kono as well as the latest from Gaza, and a sneak preview of A Pale View of Hills. Your new Board of Directors and Committee chairs are working on an ambitious agenda for the following year, which will be a special one for the Club. Allow me to share some early details.

Southern Crust

For the month of October, the FCCJ welcomes the exhibition of photographer and baker extraordinaire Kazuaki Ono and his Southern Crust exhibition. For this unique series, Aki has combined his talents as a successful commercial photographer and head baker and owner of AKIPAN, and his great love for Australia, to create an entertaining exhibition featuring various forms of bread highlighted in the diverse nature of the Australian landscape. The exhibition title was inspired by the constellation Southern Cross, which appears in the night sky Down Under.
