The prime minister, Fumio Kishida, visited the FCCJ in March to view an exhibition of paintings by Hitoshi Motojuku, head of the Liberal Democratic Party secretariat. Kishida, who spoke at the Club before he became prime minister last year, was invited to view the paintings by Kumiko Matsuoka, an art producer who organized the event. Matsuoka said she was keen to hold the exhibition at the Club due to its global reach. Motojuku’s paintings were on prominent display in the spacious corridor leading to the Main Bar.
