Moynul Alam
Prothom Alo
Moynul Alam Shaon began his journey as a dramatist in Bangladesh before relocating to Australia in the early 2000s to pursue higher education in film and media.
In 2010, he moved to Tokyo and transitioned to journalism. He subsequently worked for several years as a freelance columnist for Bangladeshi media outlets and as a director and broadcaster for NHK World Japan’s Bengali service.
In 2025, he joined Prothom Alo, Bangladesh’s leading national daily, as its Tokyo correspondent. Moynul holds a PhD in Media Studies from Monash University, Australia, and is a visiting academic at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS), where he teaches courses on language, media, and culture. He has also contributed to documentary filmmaking. His film, Buk Tar Bangladesher Hridoy, explores the anti-autocratic movement in 1980s Bangladesh and offers a critical perspective that informs his journalistic work.

Jiang Feng

Former Editor-in-Chief of People's Daily Overseas Edition Japan Monthly, Editor-in-Chief of Japan overseas Chinese News, Editor-in-Chief of Tohou Publishing Japan, and Editor-in-Chief of the Japan Bureau of Hong Kong News Agency.
Visiting Professor in the Department of History at Peking University, Visiting Professor at Tianjin Foreign Studies University, and Visiting Professor at the School of Journalism, Xi'an Jiaotong University.
To date, he has interviewed six former prime ministers of Japan and more than 130 members of the National Diet. He has served as a special commentator for China Central Television (CCTV) and 14 other Chinese television stations, and as the Japan Observer for Voice of China, a program of China National Radio. He has also conducted a lecture series titled "Jiang Feng Visits One Hundred Universities in China" and is widely recognized as a leading authority on introducing Japan to Chinese audiences.
His many authored and translated works on Japan include Jiang Feng on Japan: Japanese Diet Members Discuss China (Oriental Press, 2013), Jiang Feng on Japan: Leading Japanese Financial Figures Discuss China (Taihai Publishing House, 2015), Jiang Feng on Japan: Interviews with Contemporary Distinguished Physicians (Taihai Publishing House, 2016), Details of Japan (JiangSu Phoenix Literature and Art Publishing House, 2019), and A Thousand Years of Turbulence: A History of the Japanese Tea Ceremony (Shanghai Jiao Tong University Press, 2019), among others.

Nobuyuki Aoki
The Sasakawa Peace Foundation
Senior Advisor at the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, responsible for strengthening the foundation's outreach and information-sharing efforts in Japan and around the world. He had held various positions at the Sankei Shimbun, including editorial writer, desk editor for the political and foreign news departments, deputy editor-in-chief, and bureau chief in New York, Singapore, and Washington, D.C. His areas of expertise are the politics, diplomacy, and security of the United States and Southeast Asia.
In Japan, he has covered the ruling and opposition parties, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Diet; in the United States, the White House, the Department of Defense, the State Department, Congress, the United Nations, and Cuba; and in Singapore, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and its member states, authoring numerous articles focused on politics, diplomacy, and security.
His reporting has covered major events such as the 2001 terrorist attacks on the U.S. (9/11), the U.S. presidential elections—including Bush vs. Gore (2000) and Trump vs. Clinton (2016)—the restoration of U.S.-Cuba diplomatic relations, territorial disputes in the South China Sea, and the democratization of Myanmar. He served as a visiting researcher at the University of Hawaii (1996–97, focusing on U.S.-Japan relations and security in the Asia-Pacific region). He has held his current position since February 2018. His publications include Volumes 2 and 3 of Unveiling Postwar History (co-authored, 1995, Sankei Shimbun).

I currently serve as Director, Office of International Communications at Soka Gakkai. Previously, I served as the Youth Division Leader of Soka Gakkai International, a role that shaped my belief in the power of young people to drive positive change in society.
I was born in Tokyo, studied at La Salle in Kagoshima, and later returned to Tokyo for university at the University of Tokyo. I'd love to connect with any fellow alumni from either school here at the Club. I'm also a member of the World Heritage Academy, where I pursue my passion for heritage sites and Japanese castles. If you share this interest, please come find me — I'd welcome the chance to discuss it over coffee.
Finally, I recently joined the Imperial Palace Run on a Friday night and had a great time — I'd love to connect with any fellow FCCJ members who take part in those laps around the moat!

Shinichi Inagaki

Shinichi Inagaki is Managing Partner and CEO of Japan Industrial Partners. Since joining JIP in 2006, he has led deal sourcing, execution, and value creation across numerous investments, including VAIO, BIGLOBE, Hitachi Kokusai Electric, Toshiba, and Mitsubishi Logisnext. He previously held senior roles at Merrill Lynch and the Industrial Bank of Japan and holds degrees from Harvard Business School and Waseda University.
While at Waseda, Mr.Inagaki worked at NBC News Tokyo Bureau as a night staff for two years, and frequently visited FCCJ in Yurakucho.

Hidemi Moue
Japan Industrial Partners, Inc.
Hidemi Moue is a Co-Founder, Managing Partner, Chairman, and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Japan Industrial Partners (JIP).
Since establishing JIP in 2002, he has led the firm's growth as Chief Executive Officer and contributed to the development of Japan’s private equity market. Prior to founding JIP, he spent more than two decades at The Industrial Bank of Japan, gaining extensive experience in corporate finance.
He holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Tokyo.
